About The Project
In an effort to push the limits of the zoning code, proposed balconies that project beyond the required setbacks provide the opportunity to create a playful geometry that expresses building use, and establishing a distinctive character in the neighborhood. Simple building materials such as concrete, stucco and metal accent one another in tone and texture. The reflective standing seam at the upper levels creates a smooth transition between the building and the sky, reducing the scale of the building from the surrounding context. The project also provides a recreation room at the rear as an opportunity for a future ADU conversion. Construction is expected to start Q3, 2023.
