About The Project
In an effort to push the limits of the zoning code, proposed balconies that project beyond the required setbacks provides the opportunity to create a playful geometry that expresses building use, and establishing a distinctive character. Simple building materials of concrete, stucco and metal accent one another in tone & texture. The reflective standing seam at the upper level creates a smooth transition between the building and the sky, reducing the scale of the building from the surrounding context. The triplex provides parking at the rear and an opportunity for a future ADU conversion. Construction is expected to start Q4, 2022.
